Professional Referrals

At Village Behavioral Health, building relationships with referring providers is a critically important part of our efforts to help young people achieve healing that lasts. We welcome referrals and encourage other professionals to contact us if they think that we can help a client.

Professional Referral Sources

Since 1985, Village Behavioral Health has been transforming the lives of the adolescents who have come to our Louisville, Tennessee, facility to heal from various mental health and substance use concerns.

We value our relationships with referring providers and truly appreciate the chance to work with professionals from other disciplines who share our passion for helping adolescents live their very best lives.

Over the years, we have built close working relationships with many different referrers, including:

  • Hospital discharge planners
  • Outpatient therapists
  • Intensive outpatient program (IOP) staff
  • Psychologists and psychiatrists
  • Department of Children’s Services staff
  • Juvenile court probation officers
  • Substance abuse program staff
  • Attorneys

We welcome any opportunities to grow our relationships with other healthcare professionals, and we encourage you to reach out to us if you believe that we can be of service to your clients.

How We Work with Referrals

As a referring professional, you shouldn’t get bogged down by referral paperwork or unnecessary phone calls. At Village Behavioral Health, we streamlined our referral process so that you can focus on what matters most: caring for your clients.

To start the referral process, call or fax us, or use our online referral form. Once you have submitted a referral request, we do our utmost to respond as quickly as possible with either a request for more information or a decision as to whether our facility is the right fit for your client.

If your client is approved for admission, we will walk them through every step of the admissions process, including verifying their insurance benefits and collecting any necessary documentation.

We recognize how important your relationships with your clients are and, with their permission, will keep you informed of their progress throughout their time at our Louisville, Tennessee, facility.

Depending on your communication preferences, we can also provide you with monthly progress reports through secure email, in person, over the phone, or via Skype.

Benefits of Partnering with Us

When you refer a client to Village Behavioral Health, they benefit from a unique, outdoor-based residential program. Participants stay in cabins that are situated on 65 acres in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, offering them a chance to get away from the stressors of everyday life.

Every child heals in their own way, so we custom-build each child’s treatment to fit their unique history and needs.

Your client’s treatment will include an array of evidence-based therapies, such as group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and experiential therapies such as equine therapy and adventure-based therapy.

No child should fall behind in school because they are struggling with addiction or a mental health concern, which is why we also offer an education program featuring five teachers and a full-time principal.

With the help of the caring, compassionate team at Village Behavioral Health, your client can regain control of their symptoms and discover hope for a brighter future.

An Ideal Place to Heal

With a serene environment, individualized treatment plans, engaging activities, and top-of-the-line education for each adolescent, Village Behavioral Health sets itself apart as a treatment center that makes positive change in each child’s life.
